Source: Paramount Pictures Home Video Well, we all know it's a personal favorite around here, (I've seen it 4 times myself), so we're really happy to announce that Martin Scorsese's phenomenal psychological thriller, Shutter Island is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on June 8th!
In the film, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels (three-time Academy Award® nominee Leonardo Di Caprio) and his partner step onto Shutter Island, assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient from the island's Ashecliffe Hospital. He'd been gunning for an assignment on the island for reasons of his own -- but before long he wonders whether he hasn't been brought there as part of a twisted plot by hospital doctors whose radical treatments range from unethical to illegal to downright sinister.
The Shutter Island DVD is currently presented without special features, but the Blu-ray includes making-of featurettes entitled “Behind the Shutters” and “Into the Lighthouse”.
