Starting in May, IDW Publishing is expanding the 'Dracula' universe with the launch of an all-new four-issue series about the untold story of the harrowing, nightmarish sea voyage from Transylvania to England.
Created by Gary Gerani, co-screenwriter of the horror classic Pumpkinhead, Death Ship explores the journey of the Russian schooner Demeter, as one by one its crew falls prey to the deadliest cargo in literature's history.
Artist Stuart Sayger is bringing this project to life with interior art for the series, along with a variant cover for the first issue, while popular hardcover and paperback cover artist, Cliff Nielsen, will provide all four painted covers for the entire series.
IDW Senior Editor, Bob Schreck explains, "If you love the Bram Stoker original, you're absolutely going to love this comic book series, as both Gary and Stuart worked very hard to capture that sense of dread in the pit of your stomach and stark raving mind-shattering fear."
So fellow vamp fans watch the horizon for this one! Bram Stoker’s Death Ship #1 will be available in stores in May.
