Source: Hollywood Reporter Matthew Greenberg, who wrote the Stephen King adaptation 1408," is reviving King's resurrection tale, "Pet Sematary" for Paramount Pictures.

In the 1983 novel, Dr. Louis Creed and his wife Rachel relocate their small family into a house in Ludlow, Maine. Far from the chaos of Chicago, this quaint, rural setting seems ideal for a new start, however the area is also home to a powerful burial ground located in the backwoods of their quiet community.

Paramount hosted the original adaptation directed by Mary Lambert (and written by King himself) starring Fred Gwynne, Dale Midkiff and Denise Crosby in 1989. The story, still a classic among King fans and horror-philes alike, is still seen as a title to resuscitate by the film group president Adam Goodman.

Along with the very successful 1408, Greenberg's writing credits also include "Reign of Fire," "Halloween: H20" and "Mimic."
