Source: Variety Just when you though Park Chan-wook's films were still untouchable, here we go again.

Variety announced that Warner Bros has picked up English-language remake rights to Sympathy For Mr Vengeance, Park's first entry into his brilliant 'Vengeance Trilogy' film series.

Brian Tucker (Broken City) has been tapped to write the screenplay, which, according to Variety, is: "In 'Sympathy,' the women two different men love most are murdered, and the men set out on violent quests to punish those responsible. Trouble is, they themselves are the ones responsible and only one of them will have vengeance."

Park made Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance between his first effort, Joint Security Area (JSA) and his award-winning Oldboy, which set box-office records when they were released in Korea.Check out the original trailer for Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance below.



Mandate Pictures holds remake rights for Park’s Oldboy, the second film in the trilogy.
