Harry Angel is searching for the truth...Pray he doesn't find it.
Harry Angel, a down-and-out Brooklyn detective, is hired by the mysterious Louis Cyphre to track down a singer named Johnny Favorite. The odyssey will take Angel through the desperate streets of Harlem, the smoke-filled jazz clubs of New Orleans, and ultimately, to the swamps of Louisiana where he takes up with the beautiful young daughter of a voodoo priestess, whom he believes will be able to shed light on the growing mystery surrounding the missing musician. As Angel closes in on the truth of the case, his contacts start turning up dead and he begins to suspect he might be next.
