The
Hollywood Reporter announced that Taye Diggs and Anita Briem, have joined the cast along with Brandon Routh for the Hyde Park-Platinum Studios horror film,
Dead of Night, currently filming in New Orleans.
Written by Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly (
Sahara), the "Men in Black"-style vampire-werewolf-zombie film is adapted from the bestselling 1986 Italian comic series,
Dylan Dog. Diggs takes on the role of 'Vargas,' head of a vampire family, and the Icelandic beauty, Briem is Elizabeth, one of Dylan Dog's (Brandon Routh's) potential romantic conquests.
Stunt coordinator Eric Norris (
Righteous Kill) is handling the stunt choreography, and the supernatural thriller is directed by Kevin Munroe (
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
A release date has not been set.
