Don't Panic gave us the scoop on a HUGE night in London this Spring! To celebrate the Curzon Soho's latest Midnight Movies extravaganza
'A Night With George A Romero' The Curzon in conjunction with
Don't Panic are asking all fans of the legendary director are being asked to design a poster paying homage to George that will be used as the official poster to promote the night!
Each month, at London’s Curzon Soho, Under the Influence & Curzon Cinemas present an eclectic mix of late night cult films - from horror, animation and westerns to 80s, grindhouse and arthouse. With live music and a party atmosphere, a free Taboo drink and prizes for the best dressed,
Curzon Midnight Movies is an event, not just a screening. Past guests at sold-out nights have included: Bruce Campbell, Roger ‘King of The B’s’ Corman,
The League of Gentlemen’s Jeremy Dyson and acclaimed comedian Robin Ince.

To celebrate this very special event we would like you to design a quad poster for the night - something that celebrates the films of Romero, his legendary status and in particular his love of zombies. "
The winning design will be professionally printed and reproduced as the official poster for the event, and will be on prominent display at Curzon Soho prior to, and during, the night itself! An electronic version of the poster will be on display in the window of the cinema (overlooking Shaftesbury Ave) and on plasma screens around the venue.
Make sure to include your name and email address on the poster too. The lucky winner will also receive a Curzon Membership (worth £40) and two tickets to the actual night (worth £30)!
Voting will begin on
March 24th, 2009 and a shortlist of 4 designs will be judged by the Curzon Midnight Movies team.
The overall winner will be announced on the April 14th.
