When I saw this movie on Blockbuster's shelf, I had to admit thinking, "Here we go again; another sequel to make us wanna slap the filmmakers." With dread, I took this one home and plopped it in my beloved, albeit overused, DVD player. What started out bad, never improved and for the first time ever, a movie actually made me sick to my stomach.

Feast II begins where the original left off; at the blood-spattered road-side pub where, the night before, a pack of fanged beasts ripped a dozen people apart. Now, the nasty beasties have moved on to the nearby town to continue their gory festivities.

We then meet a pack of angry biker-chicks, a gold-toothed used-car salesman, a dwarf wrestling duo, along with a handful of other survivors. Reluctantly banding together, this mish-mash of frightened folks must figure out how to survive...

Now, I enjoyed the original Feast; being shocked by the velocity and speed of the monsters. That movie was graphic, but so fast-paced, that the viewer just held on for the ride. The monsters' sexual prowess was a bit disturbing, but it made the enemy far scarier.

In Feast II, the monsters are just as horny, but as they are mostly CG and much of movie takes place in the daytime, they don't seem as frightening. Why the filmmakers did it that way is beyond me.

The corny script and the overacting was just as funny as the original, but they went over the top with the gross-out factor in this one. I love a good "EWWWW" moment as much as the next person, but the extensive use of every bodily fluid imaginable was a little too much. Gross, for the sake of being gross, is only entertaining for so long...

While Feast II is not going to be joining my movie collection, it did make for an amusing rental.
