"If you could kill anyone and get away with it...then that's exactly who you'd kill...anyone."
    -- Ted (Milo Ventimiglia)

From the creators of the high-octane action movie, Crank, comes the new horror-thriller, Pathology. This tense and entertaining movie is terrifically gruesome and may have you wanting to pass on that rare, t-bone steak come dinnertime...

The movie begins as we join Ted (Milo Ventimiglia, TV's Heroes), a pathology resident, as he arrives at the county hospital morgue to start his new job. Soon he meets Jake (Michael Weston, Helter Skelter), and the other medical residents; cool and cocky, this group doesn't seem to like the newcomer.

But after a night of boozing and carousing, Ted finds out just what these misfits are up to - they are using their power and knowledge to play a sick, twisted game. They each kill a stranger in such a way as to be a mystery; a mystery that the rest of the group will then try to solve. Each taking a turn at the game, even Ted will eventually commit a thrill-kill and become part of the evil that is their game.

Pathology is one of those horror-thrillers that, as you're watching this character spin out of control, you're mumbling to yourself "Oh, boy...This can't end well.." And with this one, you'd be right. These murderous medical students are frightening in their cold demeanor and act like they are Greek gods; no cares and no consequences. Milo Ventimiglia does a nice job in the role of Ted and you really feel for this young man as he gets in way over his head with these terrible new friends of his. This new life of sex, drugs and depravity will obviously be his undoing.

While very disturbing, violent and sexual in nature, Pathology does have an interesting story and the young cast does a terrific job in their roles. Another nice touch was the continuous sound of emergency sirens in the background of every scene; almost as if Ted's career-dissipation-alarm is in high-gear, but it is a constant sound that says there's really something wrong here.

Pathology makes for a disturbing and exciting movie, but make darn sure the kids are out of the room for this one. And be sure to watch through the credits for a final scene!

Recommended as a rental and/or purchase.
