"It's a steam train with teeth!" - Simon (Stephen Curry)

In the beautiful and rugged outback of Australia's Northern Territory lies thousands of miles of unexplored land, sparsely populated by humans, and it is there that you will find some of largest animals in the world. This unforgiving wilderness is home to crocodiles that can grow as big as your family sedan. Read on...

Pete (Michael Mitchell, One Hour Photo), a tourism-magazine journalist, is sent on assignment to Australia. In a small village, he meets up with Kate (Radha Mitchell, Silent Hill), a river-boat tour captain. So, joining a handful of colorful and camera-armed tourists, the river tour gets underway.

After seeing a distress-flare in the sky, further up-river than she would normally go, Kate guides the tour boat into uncharted waters. What Kate doesn't know is that this stretch of river belongs to HIM; the 'him' being a 30 foot, 2-ton, man-eating crocodile! After the enormous crocodile rams the boat, Kate is forced to beach it on a small, muddy island before it sinks completely.

With the tidal-river rising, this boat-load of clueless tourists will have to fight for their very lives against one of Mother Nature's perfect killing machines! Rogue is a fantastic, gut-wrenching critter flick that had this horror fan watching with my knees pulled up against my chest while I screamed at the t.v. set ! The movie has plenty of Boo-Factor and is fabulously Written and Directed by Greg McLean (Wolf Creek).

The entire cast does an amazing job and the result is remarkably-touching and believable characters full of depth and emotion. The special effects were so realistic and scary, it may be quite a while before you find me swimming in any river!

Recommended as a rental and/or purchase.
