HEATHER SHANHOLTZ | A DEVILISH DELIGHT: dystopia Siren | February 2008

Heather Shanholtz is our ultimate triple threat: phenomenal, professional, and can out-Punk'd Ashton any day of the year! This blossoming entrepreneur is a true star on the rise!

Dystopia Magazine: So Texas Chainsaw is on your list of faves! Is it the original or the remake, and what do you like best about it?

Heather Shanholtz: The remake. I love that the effects are so realistic! The scene when the girl takes her life in the van is my favorite.

What did you think of Saw IV?
I loved it. It continued the story line very well and thoroughly came through for me on the gruesome factor!

Which SAW film did you think beat them all so far?
The third one is still my favorite. It was psychologically twisted!

What's the best horror film you've seen all year?
The 70's classic I Spit On Your Grave.

What's the 'gotcha' scene for you? When the girl gets her revenge against the hillbillies. That was classic!

What's the worst film you've seen all year?
When A Stranger Calls. It was horrible!

You've got commercials and even a film down in your resume, do you have any hopes of being a future Scream Queen?
I'm not all that interested in acting. I'm not very good at it, but if something comes my way I try my all and go for it. All of the commercials I've been in have been non-speaking roles except for one of them. The one that wasn't took me almost 25 takes just to get it right! [Laughs] Acting definitely isn't one of my strong points. I am planning on doing some gory horror shots in a photo-shoot coming up.

What's the best thing about horror?
I love to see the effects. I usually don't watch horror films alone though...I like to cuddle up during those.

How long have you been modeling? How did you get started?
I've been modeling for 3 years. I always wanted to do it and my father's secretary kind of pushed me to get started. There was a model search when I was 17 and I made the Top 20 out of 400 girls, but I didn't go into it hardcore until about 3 years ago.

Got-Dam is one of your strongest endorsers, how did you hook up with them?
Claude Taylor ended up finding my website and asked me if I would be interested in working with them. The rest is history.

Their signature promo seems to be 'Models-N-Mansions', what's the shoot like?
The shoot is a lot of fun. There are usually 10 - 20 models and 3 - 4 photographers. We go around in limos to different events and parties promoting the magazines and calendars. The houses are amazing and its a blast!

What's the news on JibberGoon? Are you a boarder, biker or jetskier?
I jet ski a lot. My favorite place to jet ski is definitely St. Maarten. I was just there for New Years. I can say that I am like hanging out with one of the guys. I'm very adventurous and not scared to get down and dirty.

What's the craziest, sexiest or naughtiest thing you've ever done?
There really are too many to list! I'm a huge prankster! I've gone as far as staging a car jacking (priceless) I also mess with my friends while they are sleeping. Don't ever pass out around me!! [Laughs] I used to go to the bars with my friends and pick out the nastiest girl in the bar and try to see if I could hook her up with my roomie. They would go home together and do their thing and the next day we would crack on him for it. We joke around and crack on each other constantly!

What's your favorite indulgence?
I love to shop! I'm also really into Kurt Cobain I collect everything from CDs, artwork, photos, ect.

How do you set yourself apart from other models?
I'm reliable, punctual, fun and down to earth. I also have a great personality (that alone gets me a lot of work). I just be myself.

What kind of traveling have you done?
I was out in Vegas for Bam Margera's bachelor party to be an extra on the show. That was a wild time! I also travel to Baltimore, Philly and Kiawah Island often. For the most part I do a lot of work in Florida most of the major cities. (Tampa, Orlando, Miami)

What's been your favorite shoot so far?
The Light Pro Expo is probably still my favorite. It's held once a year in Captiva Island and its a week long shoot. Photographers from all over the world come to the Island--it's kind of like a camp for photographers. There are about 100 professionals that are well known and the other 200 are semi-professional. For the most part it consists of classes, events, and parties. I also love shooting with Matt Robinson! Each time is different; it's a very laid back shoot and we just have fun with it.

Is there a photographer that tops your wish list? What is it about their style that you admire?
Onyx Photography. I would love to work with him. Their style is unique and they capture the beauty of a woman like I've never seen before.

What's your favorite style of photography?
Swimsuit and Lingerie. I also love motion shots and sunsets.

What do you like best about it?
The colors are amazing and theres a sensuality to it.

What have been the biggest highlights in your career?
I've done a bunch of commercials. I've also worked for Budweiser, Bacardi, Chevy and Hawaiian Tropic. I am the cover girl for Register Magazine for the month of November, and I'm also featured in Got-Dam Magazine, Racket Magazine & Expo Magazine. I also have posters of me hanging in a few Ferrari Dealerships.

What is your greatest goal?
To grace the pages of many magazines. I'm also shooting to come out with my own calendar due out sometime next month. It will be the first thing in print that is just all me.

So with all of this going on, what's your biggest passion?
Modeling, Web Design, Graphic Design...I'm a computer geek disguised as a gorgeous model...Shhhh! Our little secret!! [Laughs] I'm also really into horror films and video games!

A gamer too? Which is your favorite type?
I'm a huge gamer! I own the Wii, Playstation 3 & an Xbox. The latest games I've bought are Devil May Cry 1 - 3. The 4th one is coming out soon, so I wanted to make sure to beat the first three.

What's your favorite game of all?
My favorite all time game is Manhunt; I have it for Xbox. It's craziest, goriest game I've seen! I've heard its even banned in Europe.

Have you ever hit up the Silent Hill series? [Laughs] If you haven't played them yet, RUN and grab as many as you can. Greatest. Horror games. EVER. Guaranteed cuddle time; you can't play them without ending up on the ceiling from the sound effects! Restless Dreams (SH2) is the best of them!
[Laughs] I've never played Silent Hill, I'm going to have to hit up Gamestop tomorrow! The scariest game I've ever played though is Condemned. I definately can't play that alone!

Okay now that I've released my gamer geekdom, is there anything you'd like to take this opportunity to promote?
My website www.heathershanholtz.com, be sure to check it out. I update it regularly and news about my fantasy calendar should be up sometime next week. I also have a Members Only section with HOT, steamy exclusive photos you won't find anywhere else.

What do you have next on your plate?
I'm flying to Philly to shoot for my fantasy calendar. Then we're going to design, manage and market it ourselves. It should be a hit! It's the first real time I'll have control over everything (The layout, designs, marketing and advertising).

Thanks for your time Heather, we really appreciate it!

Thanks so much for having me!
